Is the visit to the Palácio d’Ouro guided?

Yes. All visits are exclusively guided, ensuring the preservation of the 18th-century collection and providing a contextualized and in-depth experience. Self-guided visits are not permitted.

How long does the visit last?

The full experience lasts approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes, including the Main House, gardens, outdoor areas, the mundéu, and the Paschoal Mine.

 

What payment methods are accepted?

We accept cash, PIX, credit cards, and debit cards.

 

Is it necessary to purchase tickets in advance?

Yes. We recommend purchasing tickets in advance—especially on weekends, holidays, and high-season periods—to ensure availability at your preferred time.

Can children visit the Palácio d’Ouro?

Yes, children are welcome. We recommend extra attention from guardians, especially in outdoor areas and inside the mine due to the structural characteristics of the complex.

Is photography allowed during the visit?

Yes, in authorized areas. Some rooms and collection pieces have restrictions for preservation purposes. All guidelines are provided at the beginning of the visit.

 

Is the Palace accessible?

The complex preserves its original 18th-century structure, with uneven floors, staircases, and level changes. Some areas may have limited accessibility, and the team will guide the route according to the visitor’s needs.

 

How does the visit to the Paschoal Mine work?

The Paschoal Mine is part of the guided visit to the Palácio d’Ouro. The route is carried out safely, accompanied by specialized mediators and with the use of Personal Protective Equipment. Visitors receive explanations about colonial mining techniques, the operation of the mining complex, and the historical context of the gold cycle in Minas Gerais.

 

Does the Palácio d’Ouro host events?

Yes. We host cultural, institutional, and social events upon scheduling and prior evaluation, in accordance with heritage preservation guidelines.

 

Is it possible to hold photoshoots or recordings?

Yes. Photoshoots, pre-weddings, editorials, and recordings can be scheduled in advance and may require partial or full closure of visitation.

 

Does the Palace offer parking?

Yes, there is a designated parking area. For events or productions, specific usage rules may apply.
